These steel strips are popularly known as hardened tempered spring steel strips, spring steel strips, hardened steel strips, blue tempered strips, spring strips.

C80 Hardened Tempered Spring Steel Strips is high carbon steel strips with Martensite grain structure with high tensile strength, Produced by passing strips through long continuous heating furnace and oil quenching. Parts made from these strips have uniformity in hardness, flatness and shape as compared to parts made from annealed strips and then hardened in batches.

These strips are usually available in C80 grade per the standard sizes available in stock but also can be provided in C75 & C98 grades if quantities required are viable to produce. These strips are supplied with various options as per requirement of the customer. Edges Slit, rounded or dressed. Surface finish Bright polished, grey (un polished), polished and blued or golden.

Hardened Tempered Spring Steel Strip highly engineered steel made from hot rolled steel coils.

The cold Rolling process changes the mechanical properties of steel allowing it to meet forming and bending operations as well as to get a good surface finish.

Cold Rolled strip is produced by further processing hot rolled steel strip.

Hot rolled steel strip is descaled with a combination of chemical and mechanical process and then washed to remove acids.

The strip is then further passed through cold rolling mill, this process is called cold rolling because steel is kept below its recrystallization temperature.

Strip is rolled to final thickness either directly or with inclusion of annealing process at some intermediate thickness to enable further rolling.

Due to this process one can achieve better thickness tolerance, good surface finish and desired mechanical properties
